How to dismantle a flag

This performance around symbols of power and national borders. As a dual citizen Hammonds dismantles both the Norwegian and New Zealand flags according to the natioal guidelines. The intention of the work was to set the power of the flags up against individual emotional states. The performance is split into three parts; a story from my life, a fairy-tale and the dismantling Norwegian and New Zealand flags.
The performance was shown both in New Zealand and in Norway.
