How to dismantle a flag

This performance examines the symbols of power and national bordersthrough exploring meanings attached to the Norwegian and New Zealand flags. The intention of the work was to set the power of the flags up against individual emotional states. The performance was split into three parts; personal experiences, a fairy-tale and lastly the dismantling Norwegian and New Zealand flags. The dismantling was done according to the regulations of the two countries.
The performance was shown during the New Zealand flag referendum in the capitol.
